School Security Guard on Detroit's East Side Charged With Sexually Assaulting Girl, 14

A security guard at the Jefferson-Douglass Academy on Detroit's east side has been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old female student. 

Authorities alleged that Trevon Leviticus Ziglar, 23, sexually assaulted the teen last May 20 around 5 p.m. at the school located in the 6800 block of East Nevada Street.

Specifically, he faces two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Ziglar was arraigned Sunday in 36th District Court before Magistrate Laura Echartea and remanded to the jail.

The probable cause conference is set for Jan. 21 at 8:30 a.m., and the preliminary exam is  scheduled for January 28 at 8:45 a.m.
