The Washington Commanders, who went 12-5 for the season, pulled off a last-second field goal Sunday night to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-20. The victory clears the way for the team to face off against the Detroit Lions Saturday at 8 p.m. at Ford Field.
While Washington looked impressive, BetMGM Sportsbook still lists the Lions as 9.5 point favorites.
But don't count out the Commanders, with their star rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, who played with poise Sunday.
Whatever the case, the Lions and its fans should be pumped up to see running back David Montgomery back in the lineup after suffering an injury.
The bye-week will hopefully help the battered Lions play well on Saturday.
